Incorporated in 2014, West Sea is a shipyard of international reference, located in the north of Portugal, specialised in construction, repair and ship conversion. With modern and fully equipped infrastructures, it has the capacity to construct, repair and convert medium-large sized vessels up to 37,000 DWT, with dry-docks that can accommodate vessels up to 200 metres of length and 30 metres wide, with lifting capacity of 180 tonnes, and 9 different cranes.
Located at Viana do Castello, Northern Portugal, WestSEA Viana Shipyard is an internationally renowned shipbuilding and repair facility at the centre of trade routes between North Europe, The Mediterranean and the Americas.
The Yard covers more than 250,000 sqm and has a production capacity of 20,000t per year, WestSEA is a builder of extremely high quality and specialized vessels for Polar Expeditions, River Cruising and Military application. With two graving docks, an outfitting quay, and well-appointed workshops on site the Yard is experienced in the repair of all vessel types. Providing high-quality, cost-effective repair in a flexible and customer focused way is the hallmark of WestSea Shipyard.
